Meet Sherri, artist and creator of Sacred Lotus Strands. An adherent of the Baha'i’ Faith, she began making prayer strands of all faiths in 2003. Working with gemstones and other natural materials helped Sherri feel connected to the earth.

Sherri came to the realization that the use of and creation of prayer strands helped her to achieve a greater sense of relaxation. Sherri has been quoted as saying, “What perhaps has surprised me more than anything is how spiritual the mindful act of making prayer strands has become.”

Experiencing the physical, metaphysical and psychological affects that prayer strands have inspired Sherri to begin a study in Gemstone Properties to learn the special meaning each gemstone possesses. She soon discovered that gemstones are full of positive energy and have attracted people with their colors and charming gloss since ancient times. Though Sherri’s craft is predominantly centered around prayer strands, she also creates spiritual jewelry and other unique pieces.

Being an empath, and having a natural energy aura about her, Sherri decided to take her spiritual path & craft to the next level and began studying Usui Ryoho Reiki. In 2018, she became a Certified Reiki Master & Certified Crystal Healer in hopes of truly helping others transform their lives through coaching, energy healing, and crystal therapy.

Known to her friends as “Lotus”, Sherri wears many hats: juggling her beading creations, her teenage son, a full-time job of 15 years in Pediatric Oncology Research, an active philanthropist for the homeless community and fighting for social & racial justice. However, one of her biggest passions is music. She is also know as DJ Lotus (DJ/Musicologist/Host) of her own radio show “Innovative Soul Sessions”: Sundays 4-6pm (EST) | 9-11pm (UK) on Global Soul Radio.
